Jumbo Hydraulic Feed System

The complete hydraulic feed system is the working heart of every boom on the Shaft Sinking Jumbo. A 5.8 m feed rail carries the S140 pneumatic drifter and accommodates drill steels up to 4.3 m, giving full-depth rounds without steel changes.

Feed pressure is hydraulically controlled and adjusts to ground conditions, delivering fast, consistent penetration while dramatically reducing planted steel. An integrated hydraulic self-locking rod clamp handles clamping and collaring, so the operator drills accurate, repeatable holes from a safe position off the rock face.

Every feed system is built and tested at our Rosslyn facility and is fully supported by our spares programme.
