The stage jack is designed to jack up and support the stage in a mining shaft.

The stage jack is designed to jack up and support the stage in a mining shaft. The stage jacks are rated to support 4.5 tonnes per jack. It is a strong and compact design, ensuring that it does not clutter the stage when it is in use, and it has been designed to ensure that it will not fail in service.

The stage jack is powered pneumatically via a 1-inch BSP inlet. Its bore and cylinder are manufactured from hydraulic tube steel and chrome steel, ensuring a large safety factor.

  • Welded Flanged Barrel - The welded on round flange allows lower profile and lower weight of the
    cylinder, that does not need tie rods. This allows for quicker assembly and disassembly.
  • Fail Safe Control Design - The control configuration of solenoid activated valves, flow control and PO
    check valves allow for Autonomous and safe operation.
  • The Cylinder barrel - Hard chrome plated bore, steel tubing honed to a 15 micrometer finish.
  • Rod Seal - The piston rod seal offers maximum sealing performance and efficiency with minimum
    friction. The highly resilient lips are pressure actuated and wear compensating, giving complete reliability
    through millions of cycles.
  • Bolted Bushing - Assures true concentricity and allows removal without tie rod disassembly.
  • Piston Rod Stud - Hardened Chrome Moly steel with excellent surface finish and tolerance. Studs have
    rolled threads and are made from high strength steel. Precise Welding is used to permanently lock the
    stud to the piston rod.
  • Secondary Seal - Double Service Wiper seals acts as a secondary pressure seal on the extend stroke and
    cleans the rod on the return stroke. The also protects the Cylinder against dust ingress and protects the
    cylinder from rust.
  • Long Bearing Surface - is inboard of the seals, assuring positive lubrication from within the cylinder. An
    “O” ring is used as a seal between bushing and head and also serves as a prevailing torque type lock.
  • Adjustable Floating Cushions - The adjustable Cushions at head end and cap end are adjustable with the
    external screw and doesn’t change the envelope or mounting dimensions.
  • Steel Head - Bored and grooved to provide concentricity for mating parts.
  • Ports - NPTF ports are standard HMI able to display data and error messages of the rig
  • End Seals - Pressure actuated cylinder tube to head and cap “O” rings.
